That is why all of our experiences are private. Not for exclusivity,
but for responsibility. Private tours allow us to protect our dogs from stress, avoid crowds, and ensure every experience is calm, fair,
and natural for them.

We do not operate high-volume tourism. We operate a way of life where every dog is seen, understood, and cared for as an individual.

My Story

My name is Sanna-Kaisa, and I am the founder of Pohjolan Huskies.

I have lived my whole life with dogs, and my journey with huskies began when I turned 18. What started as passion quickly grew into a lifelong way of living, built on trust, movement, and a deep connection between humans and dogs.

Alongside this life with dogs, I work as an entrepreneur in fire art and performances. Husky activities are a smaller, heart-driven part of my life, created purely from love for the dogs. All income from these activities goes directly into their care, well-being, and quality of life.

I live with my partner and our sixteen dogs in the peaceful nature of Venejärvi, Finnish Lapland. Our pack includes Siberian and Alaskan huskies, an Australian Shepherd, and a Finnish Spitz — all living as part of our family.

Life With Our Dogs

The well-being of our dogs guides every decision we make.

We have chosen to move away from traditional kennel life.
Instead, our dogs live in a warm, modern dog house with both indoor and outdoor spaces. They are free to move between areas through their own doors, with warmth in winter, fresh water always available,
and space to rest properly.

But their life is not only about work. Our dogs truly share life with us.

We have a holiday home where they have their own space and additional outdoor areas, allowing them to come with us even during summer holidays. We also take them to dog parks, private forest enclosures, and different natural environments where they can run freely, explore, and simply enjoy being dogs.

They are not only working athletes,they are social, affectionate,
and deeply people-oriented companions who thrive on attention and connection.

Sled Dogs at Heart

We don’t do husky activities because it is a business idea, we do it because this is the life we share with our dogs.

Huskies are born to move. Their drive to run, pull, and work together as a team is natural, and when it is guided with respect and balance, it brings them joy and purpose.

They love attention, new people, and shared experiences, but above all, they love what they were born to do: move, run, and work in harmony.

This is why we run these experiences. Not to use the dogs, but to give them a life where their natural instincts are supported, their energy has purpose, and their well-being is fully taken care of.

The Purpose of Our Work

When you join one of our activities, you are directly supporting the life of our dogs.

The income we earn goes straight back into their daily care and well-being. It keeps their home warm, ensures high-quality food, treats, toys, and everything they need to thrive.

It allows us to provide regular veterinary care, dental check-ups, physiotherapy, and proper rest when needed. It also makes it possible for them to travel with us, take part in competitions, explore new environments, and enjoy a rich and varied life beyond work.

We continuously invest in their environment, expanding running areas, improving safety, and creating more space for natural movement and freedom.

In short, this is not just a tour.

It is a direct contribution to a better, more balanced, and more meaningful life for our dogs.
